A finished document shows the result. DraftTrace records the process: how text enters a draft, how it changes, and how a writer revises it. An instructor can replay that process and inspect the evidence in context.
The platform combines a rich text editor, character provenance, writing replay, instructor reports, and Canvas integration. It makes room for disclosed AI assistance as part of the writing workflow.
The distinction matters: a record of writing activity is evidence of a process, not a verdict about authorship. Alongside the deployed product, I’m working on reproducible evaluation through a public writing-process recorder benchmark.
